MARIANA THOMÉ
Director — Screenwriter

Mariana is a screenwriter and director with a degree in film from the United States. Her feature documentary “SCAB VENDOR – THE LIFE AND TIMES OF JONATHAN SHAW”, featuring Iggy Pop and Jim Jarmusch, premiered at the 38th Warsaw International Film Festival and is currently on the festival circuit. As Creative Director of the MARACA art collective in Venice Beach, a partner of Whisky Films and AC/McGarryBowen, she developed and oversaw numerous creative projects. She currently focuses on catalyzing new work, developing projects for production companies such as Conspiração Filmes and Anonymous Content, as well as for TV networks and streaming platforms. She was awarded the Prêmio Catarinense de Cinema in 2019 and 2020 and was officially selected for the Blood Window Lab and Torino Film Lab in 2020. Alongside Jotagá Crema, she is co-writing a horror series selected for the TorinoFilmLab TV 2021 and awarded at SoloSerieS, Ventana Sur 2021. Mariana is part of the talent network of Projeto Paradiso.
