LUCIANA VIEIRA
Director — Screenwriter

Works as a screenwriter, director, and casting researcher. She recently participated in the Official Selection of the Cannes Film Festival as assistant director on the feature film Motel Destino, directed by Karim Aïnouz. In 2025, she returns to Cannes as one of the selected directors for La Factory (Directors’ Fortnight). She is currently working as assistant director on Feito Pipa, the upcoming feature by Allan Deberton. She is one of the creators of Se Avexe Não, a comedy series aired on EBC/TV Brasil/TV Ceará. She was co-writer and co-director of the series Meninas do Benfica (Canal Brasil), the TV movie Guerra da Tapioca (Globoplay), and the series Lana & Carol (TV Futura). She is currently in post-production on her short film “JOQUETA”, which won Best Short Script at the 2023 Cabíria-Cardume Award. Additionally, she was the casting researcher and producer on Alucinação, a biopic about singer Belchior (Directed by Eduardo Albergaria / Canal Brasil), and produced the documentaries As Cores do Divino (Canal Brasil) and Um Pedaço do Mundo (GNT). From 2018 to 2024, she served as a script consultant for Cena 15 – Porto Iracema das Artes’ screenwriting lab.
