Ricardo Tiezzi is a writer and professor. He is the creator of the “SANTO MALDITO” series on Star+. He wrote the feature film Qualquer Gato Vira Lata and was also one of the screenwriters of Outro Lado do Paraíso, winner of the Audience Award at the 2015 Gramado Film Festival and Best Film and Best Student Jury Award at the Latin American Film Festival of Trieste. In television, he has written for four seasons of Malhação (TV Globo), with the most recent nominated for the International Emmy Kids Award. His writing credits include Temporada de Verão (Netflix), Julie e os Fantasmas (Band/Nickelodeon) – winner of the APCA Award and nominated for an International Emmy – Agora Sim (Mixer/Sony), nominated for Best Series by APCA, A Vida de Rafinha Bastos (Fox), Mothern (GNT), Mano a Mano (Rede TV), and the Christmas TV special Amor ao Quadrado (TV Globo). He was a screenwriter for the animated series Sítio do Picapau Amarelo (Globo) and the telenovela Floribella (Band). As an educator, he teaches screenwriting workshops at Roteiraria and is a professor in the graduate program in Screenwriting for Film and Television at FAAP. He holds a Master’s degree in Cinema, Philosophy, and Religion from PUC-SP and is currently pursuing a PhD in Literature and Literary Criticism. Tiezzi has published short stories on Kindle (Gordo Gato, Café na Estação, A Vida que Esqueci), a book of chronicles (O Primo de Deus), the crime novel O Sorriso da Morte, and the recently released novel Objetos na Penumbra.
