Ric Ostrower is a seasoned audiovisual director with a career spanning top Brazilian networks such as GNT, MTV, and Globo. He directed iconic shows like “SAIA JUSTA” and “QUE MARRAVILHA!”. He began his career in advertising as an assistant director, and after a sabbatical year traveling through the U.S. and Europe, joined MTV Brasil. There, he gained prominence directing three editions of the VMB awards and music specials including Acústico Rita Lee, Jorge Ben Jor, and Cidade Negra. During his seven years at MTV, Ric created and directed several formats, including “FICA COMIGO”, “ERÓTICA”, and “MTV SPORTS”. He later directed shows at RedeTV and concerts for Trama Records, and revamped GNT Fashion. He launched and directed the first season of “SAIA JUSTA”, one of GNT’s flagship shows. After photographing a three-and-a-half-year journey through Asia and Oceania for Viagem & Turismo magazine, he relocated to Rio de Janeiro to create “QUE MARRAVILHA!”, the first reality show by Globosat, where he served as showrunner for 13 seasons. Ric also directed “CARTAS NA MESA”, “HAPPY HOUR”, “SUPERBONITA”, and two seasons of “AMOR & SEXO” on Globo.Back in São Paulo, he studied screenwriting and dramaturgy under Robert McKee and José Carvalho. Recently, he directed “OLHARES BRASILEIROS” (CNN Brasil) and “COZINHA PRÁTICA” (GNT), and is currently developing his second fiction series while directing branded and audiovisual content.
